Refund policy

Return, Warranty, and Disclaimer Policy for madeforfydeos.com.
Your statutory rights are unaffected. Nothing in this policy limits or affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
1. Order Cancellation and Refunds Prior to Dispatch
- Payment handling fee — if you request a refund before the item has been dispatched, a non-refundable payment handling fee, imposed by our payment processing providers (e.g., Shopify Payments, PayPal), will be deducted from the refund amount. This fee is typically around 3% of the order value.
- Liability — we disclaim any liability for payment processing fees incurred due to order cancellations initiated by the customer prior to dispatch.
- Pre-orders and backorders — some items may be sold on pre-order or backorder; the estimated dispatch window is shown on the product page. You may cancel a pre-order or backorder at any time before dispatch on the terms above, and if dispatch is materially delayed beyond the estimate shown when you ordered, we will notify you and you may cancel for a refund. For pre-ordered or backordered items, the 30-day return period in Section 2 runs from the date you receive the item, not from the order date.
2. Returns Within 30 Days of Purchase (Change of Mind)
This section applies where you return a fully functional product for reasons unrelated to product quality (for example, a change of mind). Where a return arises from a faulty product or our error, Section 2A applies instead.
- Eligibility — you may return items within thirty (30) days of the purchase date for reasons unrelated to product quality, provided the item remains in a condition suitable for resale.
- Condition of returned items — returned items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging, inclusive of all accessories and documentation. The product itself must be undamaged and fully functional. We inspect every returned item on arrival; items that are damaged, modified, or not in resellable condition are not eligible for a refund and will be returned to you at your cost.
- Return authorisation — before returning an item, contact our customer service team at help@madeforfydeos.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number. Returns sent without an RMA number may be refused.
- Return shipping — you arrange and pay for return shipping to our designated warehouse in Shenzhen, China. We recommend a tracked service; we are not responsible for items lost in return transit.

Deductions from your refund — because a change-of-mind return is not the result of any fault on our part, your refund is the price you paid for the product, less the costs we have already and irrecoverably incurred on the order, namely:
- the payment processing fee charged by our payment provider (e.g., Shopify Payments, PayPal), typically around 3% of the order value, which the provider does not return to us on a refund; and
- the shipping charge you paid at checkout, which is non-refundable on change-of-mind returns.
- Refund timing — refunds are issued to your original payment method within fourteen (14) days of the day we receive the returned item (or, for pre-dispatch cancellations, within 14 days of your cancellation request). The date the refund reaches your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
- Statutory cancellation rights — if you are a consumer in the United Kingdom (or another jurisdiction with equivalent distance-selling rights) and you cancel your order before dispatch or within 14 days of receiving it, your statutory cancellation rights apply and take precedence over the deductions above: we will refund the price you paid plus the standard outbound shipping charge, without deducting payment processing fees, and may only reduce the refund to reflect any diminution in the value of the goods caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning. You remain responsible for the cost of returning the goods. Outside that statutory window, the 30-day policy above applies as written.
2A. Faulty, Defective, or Incorrect Items
- Full refund where we are at fault — where a product is faulty (including a product defective on arrival or one that fails within the warranty period), or where we have sent the wrong item, you are entitled to a full refund of the price you paid, including all shipping charges, and we will cover the cost of returning the item to us. Warranty claims are handled under Section 3.
3. One-Year Limited Warranty
- Coverage — the Fydetab Duo and the XpressReal T3 are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.

Exclusions — this warranty does not extend to defects or damages resulting from:
- Misuse or abuse — improper handling, installation, or use contrary to the product’s intended purpose.
- Unauthorised modifications or repairs — alterations or repairs conducted by individuals or entities not authorised by us (see the hackability provision below for what is and is not permitted).
- External factors — damage attributable to external causes, including but not limited to accidents, power surges, or environmental conditions.
- Hackability and modifications — our devices are designed to be hackable, and you are encouraged to explore and modify them at the software and firmware levels; doing so does not void this warranty. However, physical disassembly or hardware modification of the device voids the warranty, except that installing our official LTE Module in accordance with our official installation instructions does not void it.
- Warranty claim procedure — should a covered product fail within the one-year warranty period, contact us at help@madeforfydeos.com with your order number (or other proof of purchase) and a description of the fault; we may ask for photos or videos to help diagnose the issue remotely. If a return is needed, we will issue an RMA number and instructions; shipping for valid warranty claims is at our cost, as set out in Section 2A. If the failure is attributed to a defect in materials or workmanship, we will, at our discretion, repair the product, replace it, or refund the purchase price. Please back up your data before sending a device in; see Section 4.
4. Disclaimer of Liability for Data Loss
- Data responsibility — we shall not be held liable for any data loss occurring on our products, whether such loss results from user actions or hardware failure.
- User obligation — it is your sole responsibility to perform regular data backups to mitigate the risk of data loss.
General Provisions
- Compliance with applicable laws — our return and warranty policies are designed to comply with pertinent consumer protection laws and regulations.
- Governing law — this policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales and forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
- Policy amendments — we reserve the right to amend or modify these policies at any time. Amendments become effective upon publication on our website.
